Volga City

Volga City is located on the Volga River in the heart of the picturesque Volga Valley, one of the most scenic locations in the state of Iowa. Recreational opportunities abound with the best small-mouth bass fishing in the area, canoe access, river swimming, softball fields and basketball courts.  Beautiful walking trails wind along the river where eagles come to fish while herons and Canadian geese dot the shoreline.

Spend some time in our campground bordered by a native wildflower and prairie grassland on one side and the river on the other.  You can also step back in time and stay over in a comfortable B&B.  The historic Old Stone School offers delicious lunches.  The ardent camera buff will be charmed by the setting and the beautiful valley vistas.  Picnic with your children in the city park shelters and state of the art, colorful playground equipment will make this a fun, family outing.  Come visit the home of the historic Volga City Opera House, the state's largest natural white pine grove, and the majestic limestone cliffs surrounding the river.
